PROGRAM suburban learning center in historic park with auditorium, multipurpose room, library, offices, parking lot

This learning center is nested inside a forest partially landscaped by André Le Nôtre in the
17th century.

The program is articulated in two masses.

A solid base creates a double belvedere at the bottom of a long slope; a glazed bar leans over it.

The bar nested in the ground hosts an auditorium, a multi purpose room, support offices and part of the library.

Above it, a dedicated reading room stretches inside the bar.

Reading spaces face an adjacent tranquil pond.

The bar bridges over an important trail connecting the pond to other small lakes in the historic park.

Where bar and base meet, a spiral ramp bathed in natural light allows a gradual transition between the lively common spaces and the quieter reading area.
